Dear friends,
We are delighted to share some news from Leap Design Group.
We have launched our first Seminar! Part of our vision to resource the UK Church includes running a seminar series on church building related topics. The first of these seminars is booked for 10am – 3pm on 22 September 2016 at the CMS offices in Oxford. We are privileged to have Natalie Merry coming to speak about sensitive adaptation of historic church buildings and Kelvin Sampson speaking on buildings with a missional agenda and engagement with the local community. As we get word of the seminars out, we are encouraging people to circulate information through social media networks and by word of mouth to anyone who might be interested. If you think the seminar topic is relevant to any churches or people you know, please feel free to circulate details and the website link: http://www.leap.design/seminars.html.
CMS has been an amazing support, both allowing us to use its venue and publicising the event on its social media. Please pray for the seminar, for the Lord to bring people to be blessed, for the speakers Natalie and Kelvin, and to make Leap Design Group known through the advertising we are doing.
Our website has been redesigned and is now more informative about what we do! Have a look yourself: http://www.leap.design. We are trying to be very active on social media. To like or follow us please click on the icons:

In September we are having important meetings with potential partners, which if they go well, will widen our network and services to serve churches better. Please pray for wisdom and vison and for doors to open.
Leap Discover®, our Community Matchmaking Toolkit is currently running at St Thomas’s Church in Holtspur. We are half way through and excited to see the findings soon. In September we will start a new survey with Grace Church Thame, our church and four other local churches. In summary, Leap Discover helps to find out what is common between the community needs and the church’s heart desire to serve the community (find out more here). So in Thame there will be a matchmaking between one community and five distinct church hearts. Amongst many other benefits such as raising the profile of the church in the community and shaping vison for outreach, it will give churches in Thame a chance to discern strategically all together what to do in the local community!
Please do pray for us in these early stages of getting things started. We have a lot of work juggling between setting up the company, marketing, networking and finding ways to bring in finance to make it self-sustaining. We have been very grateful for your continued prayer and financial support over recent months whilst we wait for the business to produce an income. If you would like to continue supporting us in the short term please make sure any donations you send to us via CMS are clearly earmarked for us as we are now mission associates rather than mission partners. We look forward to keeping you posted with how the seminar and various other activities go.
With love and God bless
Efraim, Ruth and Max Vilella
